With mortgage rates easing despite the Bank of England holding interest rates steady π¦π, market confidence remains strong. In fact, 53% of agents say that buyer confidence has improved compared to three months ago ππ€.
Following the post-stamp duty slump, transactions rebounded with a 25% jump π between April and May. While 40% of agents say current levels match those seen a quarter ago, 20% report a decline π. Meanwhile, over half of agents say withdrawals remain steady, showing little recent change π.
The rental market is also holding firm π¬, with 38% of agents reporting lower stock levels than three months ago, while 35% report similar availability π π.
