📊 Quarterly Barometer: Housing Market Sentiment – Summer 2025 🏡📉📈

This Quarterly Opinion Poll tracks sentiment in the housing market, based on the experience of estate agents across the UK. 🇬🇧🏘️

With mortgage rates easing despite the Bank of England holding interest rates steady 🏦🔒, market confidence remains strong. In fact, 53% of agents say that buyer confidence has improved compared to three months ago 📈🤝.

Following the post-stamp duty slump, transactions rebounded with a 25% jump 📊 between April and May. While 40% of agents say current levels match those seen a quarter ago, 20% report a decline 📉. Meanwhile, over half of agents say withdrawals remain steady, showing little recent change 🔁.

The rental market is also holding firm 📬, with 38% of agents reporting lower stock levels than three months ago, while 35% report similar availability 🏠🔍.
